Still Video Photography
Still Video is the system whereby color images are recorded directly on to a
video floppy disk instead of using film. One disk holds up to 50 images, and
since the images are electronic, they can be erased allowing the disks to be used over and over again.
From the day still video burst on the scene it has been touted as the successor to film (silver halide).
Being electronic, it boasts several advantages over film like instant playback -
Just hook it up to a TV or monitor and immediately view your work.
The images can be imported directly into a computer via a video capture setup for further manipulation
and storage.
All Canon Still Video products were discontinued in January of 1996
